Premier inaugurates new projects in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA- Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi on Friday inaugurated a number of industrial projects with an estimated total value of SYP 520 million in Lattakia province.

The inauguration marks the 44th anniversary of the Correctionist Movement.

The inaugurated projects included administrative buildings of the General Establishment for Tobacco worth SYP 204 million and an investment hotel worth SYP 316 million.

The Premier also inspected the tobacco factory, the Free Zone market and Lattakia port, calling on the port’s workers to accelerate the unloading of cargo ships to secure products for meeting the citizens’ needs.

He pointed out that the first shipment of citrus will be sent to Russia on Monday with an average of 120 containers per month, with a total amount of 25 thousand tons.

Al-Halqi also inspected a military checkpoint in Lattakia, hailing the role of the Syrian Army in protecting Syria from the foreign-backed terrorism.

On Thursday, al-Halqi inaugurated a number of service, development and industrial projects in Lattakia province.
