Kuzbari: No session held due to Turkish-backed delegation refusal to discuss agenda

Geneva, SANA_ Head of the delegation participating in the Committee of Discussing the Constitution Ahmad al-Kuzbari said that the Mini-Committee was not able to hold any session during the second round in Geneva because of the Turkish-backed delegation’s refusal to discuss the national agenda and principles.

Al-Kuzbari, in a statement to reporters in Geneva on Friday added that the national delegation came to Geneva very seriously, but the delegation of the Turkish regime refused to enter the hall to discuss the agenda because its compass is still the countries that nominated it.

He pointed out that the national delegation submitted a proposal for the meeting and was rejected through the media and not officially in a violation of the agreed upon Code of Conduct, saying that this violation is added to the previous dozens of violations.

Al-Kuzbari affirmed that the main national principles rejected by the Turkish-backed delegation are the principles that concern the Syrian people and related to absolute rejection of the occupation, criminalization of dealing with the occupier and fighting terrorism.

“The national delegation is always ready to continue working in accordance with the compass of the Syrian people and not the compass of other countries.” He concluded.
