FT: UK to review all arms export licenses to Turkish regime

London, SANA_ The British Financial Times newspaper unveiled that the United Kingdom  government is to review all arms export licenses to Turkish regime as a result of concern over its offensive on Syrian territory.

According to leaked information, the newspaper said Monday, British Ministers have ordered a full review into sales of arms to Turkish regime that could be used in the offensive and are suspending awards of new licenses pending the outcome.

The UK has licensed £1.1bn worth of arms to Turkey since Recep Tayyip Erdogan became president five years ago, according to the Campaign Against the Arms Trade.

France, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Norway and Czech Republic have already announced curbs on arms sales to Turkey and EU foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg on Monday urged member states to consider imposing similar restrictions as concern over the assault intensified.
