Damascus, SANA-Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, the commander-in- Chief of the Army and armed forces, and on the occasion of 74th anniversary of Army Day, Minister of Defense Ali Abdullah Ayoub visited the wounded soldiers at Tishreen military hospital in Damascus.
Maj. General Ayoub, congratulated the soldiers on this occasion and listened to the conditions of their injuries, appreciating their high morals and their determination to return, as soon as possible, to their positions to continue their national duty.
Later, Ayoub, also Deputy commander-in- Chief of the army, paid field visits to a number of the army formations working in the southern region.
He met the army soldiers and officers there and conveyed President al-Assad’s amity and pride of their heroism and sacrifices.
Meanwhile, the armed forces commemorated the army foundation.
The army commanders affirmed in their speeches that the Syrian people, who have defeated all conspiracies throughout history , will defeat today the takfiri terrorism.
The commanders visited the martyrs’ cemeteries and laid wreath on the monuments and recited verses of Quran for the rest of their souls.
