Tehran, SANA- Head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami affirmed the failure of the US schemes in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine, saying “Syria has remained steadfast despite of all the conspiracies hatched against it.”
In a speech on Thursday, Salami indicated that his country doesn’t want to engage in a war with any country, adding at the same that Iran is ready for it.
“Shooting down the US drone conveys a clear and decisive message that those who defend the Iranian borders are vigilant and always ready, and they will destroy any aircraft that would target the Iranian airspace and it will not return to its bases,” Salami said.
Earlier on the day, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced that its air defense units shot down an American surveillance drone at dawn today after it entered the Iranian airspace in the province of Hormozgan in southern Iran.
