Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued law no. 45 for 2018 stipulating for granting injured military personnel the right to sign up for one locally-manufactured car exempted from all taxes and fees.
The law covers all military personnel who sustained injuries causing partial disability during the war or military operations or similar cases or at the hands of terrorist or enemy elements.
The law stipulates for granting beneficiaries facilitations from the Commercial Bank of Syria for granting loans and paying them to purchase a car with engine capacity not exceeding 1600 cc, and is valid for one time during a period of ten years from the date of sustaining injuries.
Exemptions cover various fees, including those for license plates, driver’s license, registering the vehicle, technical inspections, and mortgages.
