Damascus, SANA-Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub paid a field visit to military combating formations in Hama, Idleb and Lattakia countryside.
Meeting army commanders and combatants on the frontlines, Ayoub was briefed on the procedures undertaken to enhance combat preparedness and keep it at high levels to eradicate terrorist presence on the entire Syrian soil.
General Ayoub lauded the high morale of the Syrian army in defending the homeland. “The achievements of our valiant armed forces in fighting terrorism have passed down many lessons and skills that prove the army’s fortitude and mettle in the face of adversities,” he said, wishing the combatants success in their missions.
The combatants, for their part, vowed unwavering allegiance to their combat principles and military duties until finishing off terrorism.
