Helsinki, SANA-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov discussed Friday with his US counterpart Joseph Dunford the crisis in Syria and security in Europe.
“During the meeting which was held in Helsinki, the two sides discussed different ways for reaching a settlement in Syria, bilateral relations and means of avoiding any accidents between the Russian and US forces in Syria,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
It added that Gerasimov and Dunford underlined the importance of having stability in Syria as soon as possible.
