Al-Sayyed: Saudi regime prevents Syrian people from performing Hajj for the third year in a row

Damascus, SANA – Religious Endowments (Awqaf) Minister Mohammad Abdelsattar al-Sayyed stressed that the Saudi Wahhabi regime deprived the Syrian people from their right to perform the religious duty of Hajj for the third year in a row as it has directed the Saudi Ministry of Hajj to prevent the Syrians from performing this holy duty.

In an interview with the Syrian TV on Sunday, Minister al-Sayyed said that the Islamic history hasn’t witnessed at all such a decision which interferers in the religious affairs through preventing all the Syrian people from performing a religious duty .

“After getting a permission by Israel, the Saudi rulers allowed people from the occupied Palestinian territories to perform Hajj while they prevent the Syrians from performing this religious duty,” al-Sayyed added.

He indicated that using religion to achieve desires and political goals will lead to exploiting it and making it a pretext to commit crimes and killing and this is what the terrorist organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is doing, “this is the political Islam. ”

Commenting on the so-called “international alliance for combating terrorism”, al-Sayyed said that most of the countries which are now allies with the US for combating the ISIS as they claim, are the same countries which have produced, supported, trained, finance and armed terrorism.

He added that the narrow minded Wahhabi thought came from Saudi Arabia and this thought has spread terrorism in all the region as it has called all the religious teachings as heresies.

Al-Sayyed stressed that terrorism cannot be fought without coordination with Syria whose people, army, leadership and religious scholars have been fighting terrorism on behalf of all the world and who have been a steadfast fortress in the face of extremism and the Wahhabi takfiri ideology.
