Deir Ezzor, SANA – Governor of Deir Ezzor province, Abdul Majeed al-Kawakibi, paid a visit on Thursday to a number of schools in Deir Ezzor and Al-Furat University to assess the education conditions after declaring the city terrorist-free.
The Governor called for increased efforts to develop the education level to help improve students’ attainment after the terrorist organizations had forced them to disconnect their schools.
He also praised the pioneering role played by teachers to promote education and encouraged them to take on broader roles in a fast-changing world.
Director of Deir Ezzor Education Department, Khalil Haj Obeid, said that the educational process in Deir Ezzor schools is going well, affirming that the Department is trying its best to solve the problem of overcrowded classrooms due to the return of thousands of students and their families to the city.
He added that Deir Ezzor Education Department started to solve the overcrowding issues through double shift schools and building prefabricated school rooms.
