Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Imad Khamis affirmed the importance of constant coordination and discussions between Syria and Iraq in political and economic issues and fighting terrorism.
During a meeting with Undersecretary of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Nizar Khairallah, Khamis pointed out to the sacrifices made by the Syrians and Iraqis to defeat terrorism and preserve their countries’ sovereignty, asserting that the war on terror requires the utmost degree of coordination between the two countries.
He also stressed the importance of improving economic and investment relations between the two sides, carrying out joint projects, increasing trade exchange, and enhancing relations between Syrian and Iraqi businessmen.
For his part, Khairallah underlined the importance of uniting the two countries’ efforts in the war on terror, as well as expanding economic cooperation and developing to cover all aspects of the reconstruction stage.
