Damascus, SANA – Minister of petroleum and Mineral Resources Suleiman al-Abbas stressed the need to secure the petroleum needs of the local market.
During a meeting with staff of the Syrian Company for the Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products in Damascus on Saturday, Minister al-Abbas called for forming teams in all provinces to inspect the distribution process in gas stations.
He also called for following up with the projects to rehabilitate the infrastructure needed to begin work with smart cards for fuel, which would allow for organizing and observing the consumption of fuel by government institutions.
