Homs, SANA – Female kickboxer, Sarah Zalat, succeeded to capture the attention with her talent and high physical fitness. She has made a promising start to her career in the future.
Zalat, born in 2004, has turned her love of sports to a career starting as a taekwondo player where she got the red belt and ranked in the fourth place in the national competition after which she moved to learn kickboxing.
She joined the training camp of the 3rd national Youth Olympic Games upon the request of her trainer Jasem Shbeib before 10 days of the launching of the competition where she received intensive training classes from 7:00 am till 10:00 pm. She won the bronze medal in her first participation.
Zalat expressed hope that she would participate in international competitions and raise the Syrian flag high despite all challenges and difficulties such as the low number of training camps, local championships and foreign participation.
