Terrorist rocket attack causes a fire in Mharda power station in Hama

Hama, SANA – Terrorists fired a rocket shell that hit an electricity generating station in Mharda in the central province of Hama, causing a fire to erupt in the transmission lines.

The station’s director Ali Haifa confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the firefighters managed to quickly put out the fire before it could spread to the mechanical and electrical sections in the station.

Last Sunday, the power station in Mharda and the workers’ housing compounds came under rocket, mortar and gunfire attack by armed terrorist organizations, which resulted in the death of one of the guards, in addition to material damage.
