Aleppo governor, UNHCR discuss relief and humanitarian situation in city

Aleppo, SANA- Governor of Aleppo Hussein Diab discussed on Tuesday with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria Sajad Malik and an accompanying delegation the relief and humanitarian situation in the province and efforts to ensure the return of all families to their areas which have been liberated from terrorism.

Diab noted to the existing cooperation with UNHCR in many fields to help the affected families and implement joint projects to improve the service and living conditions, affirming the keenness of the governorate to provide all the necessary facilitations for the international organization and its teams in order to enable it carry out its humanitarian mission.

In turn, Malik said that his visit to Aleppo comes within the context of following up the work of the UNHCR and its projects in Aleppo, meeting the officials in the province and exchanging ideas and proposals to enhance cooperation and increase joint implemented projects.
