Damascus, SANA – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Defense Minister Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij conducted an inspection visit of one of the army units operating in the southern region.
Al-Freij relayed to the soldiers the greetings of President al-Assad on occasion of Eid al-Fitr holiday, and was briefed by field commanders on the nature of the operations conducted in the direction of Daraa city and its countryside, with the Minister providing his instructions and lauding the soldiers’ high morale and their efforts to eliminate the terrorist groups which are supported directly by the Israeli enemy.
Al-Freij also visited injured army personnel at Tishreen Military Hospital, checking up on them, commending their high spirits, and wishing them a swift recovery, while the medical staff briefed the Minister on the services provided to the injured soldiers.
