Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed on Friday with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev the results of Astana 4 meeting on Syria and expressed satisfaction with the adoption of the memorandum to create de-escalation zones.
“Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. When the leaders were discussing the results of the 4th international meeting on Syria held on May 3-4 this year in Astana, they expressed satisfaction with the adoption of the memorandum to create de-escalation zones,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
The statement added that two sides affirmed that the implementation of the memorandum from all parties will strengthen the cessation of hostilities agreement and improve the humanitarian situation in general and thus reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

The Russian President discussed with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council the memorandum on de-escalation zones.

On Thursday, the guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria signed the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones during the plenary session of the Astana 4 meeting held in Kazakh’s capital of Astana.
