Red Crescent distributes food aid among ISIS-besieged families in Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor, SANA- The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in Deir Ezzor province started on Saturday distributing a new batch of food aid to ISIS –besieged locals in Deir Ezzor city.

While inspecting the distribution process, Governor of Deir Ezzor Mohammad Ibrahim Samra said the new food baskets which have been airdropped recently are currently being provided to the families, and each family receives a package weighting 24kg that contains rice, burgle, and lentil.

He added that the aid distribution process is continuing according to specific timetable for the neighborhoods, referring to the exerted efforts to alleviate the suffering of Deir Ezzor locals.

The city of Deir Ezzor has been under a crippling siege by ISIS terrorist organization for more than two years, with ISIS terrorists blocking citizens’ access to food and health materials. The Syrian and Russian air forces are providing these substances by airdropping them via parachutes.
