The speaker pointed out that all what is going on in the battlefield and on the political level is in favor of the Syrian people, state and army.

Abbas condemned the intervention of the United States and Turkey in northern Syrian through the presence of military forces of these two countries on Syrian territory under the pretext of fighting terrorism and without coordination with the Syrian government.

“We consider the presence of such forces illegal and a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and a flagrant breach of the international laws and norms which regulate relations between states,” she said.

She pointed out that the Assembly will send letters to international and regional parliamentary organizations to explain the risk of these interventions on the unity and safety of the Syrian territory as well as the threat they pose to the ongoing talks aimed at reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
