Damascus Airport resumes work after the fall of defunct regime

Damascus, SANA- Damascus International Airport on Tuesday resumed its work after its rehabilitation following the fall of the defunct regime and the liberation of Damascus,the capital city of Syria.

The first flight took off on Tuesday from Damascus Airport after the liberation, heading to Sharjah Airport.

Head of Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority, Ashhad al-Salibi told SANA reporter that resuming the flights comes after a complete rehabilitation of Aleppo and Damascus Airports with the help of the partners so that the two airports are able to receive flights from all over the world.

Earlier, Qatar Airways announced that it had resumed flights to Syria by three flights per week to Damascus.

In a related context, Cham Wings Airlines announced the resumption of its direct flights to and from Damascus International Airport as of Tuesday, as a daily flight was scheduled from Damascus to Sharjah and vice versa.
