Acting Health Minister discusses with Saudi delegation ways to enhance humanitarian and medical work in Syria

Damascus, SANA- The Acting Health Minister in caretaker government, Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, discussed with a Saudi delegation from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center ways to enhance humanitarian and medical work in Syria.

The two sides discussed the importance of setting priorities to support the health sector and achieve health justice for all Syrian citizens.

Dr. Al-Sharaa appreciated the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support Syria by responding to the humanitarian appeal and providing full support.
He also, pointed out the necessity of focusing during the current period on chronic diseases and securing the necessary needs for patients.

In turn, the delegation clarified that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has begun preparing a land bridge to support the health sector in Syria, which includes modern medical devices, medicines, and other supplies.
