Sweida, SANA-Free Syrian Lawyers Association, along with a number of civil society organizations, gathered Monday to commemorate the anniversary of Karm Al-Zeitoun massacre in Homs, which was committed by the criminal regime forces in 2012.
The participants condemned this massacre, which claimed the lives of a number of residents of the neighborhood, including women and children, stressing the importance of the rule of law and achieving justice and accountability in the new Syria.
The participants also stressed the need for holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes under international law, calling for supporting the efforts of justice and equality, and a joint commitment to building a Syria.
