Syria, Lebanon hold positive talks on essential issues

Damascus, SANA- “We received Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib. The meeting was positive as we tackled essential issues that serve the interests of both countries,”the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry added “This visit comes as a culmination of the Arab role in supporting the Syrian people at all levels and it strengthens the strategic relations between our two countries. “We discussed with our brothers the importance of Syria’s role in strengthening Arab stances and supporting stability and security in the region, and we stressed that Syria today will move with the determination of its people towards rebuilding in all fields, as the previous regime left us with a collapsed state and an obsolete institutional system,” the statement read.
