Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Engineer Hussein Arnous met Sunday with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Abu Bakr Omar al-Bushra, and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between agricultural research centers in the two countries, exchange the results of agricultural scientific research, enhance trade exchange of agricultural plant and animal products, exchange experiences, and intensify joint cooperation to confront climate change, in addition to cooperation in the fields of water, preventing floods and desertification, and other related issues.
Arnous stressed the necessity of undertaking joint projects that take into the consideration the resources and capabilities available on both sides, and taking all steps that contribute to expanding the horizons of cooperation and achieving self-sufficiency.
For his part, al-Bushra praised the historical relations between Syria and Sudan, stressing his country’s desire to enhance joint cooperation in all fields.
