Al-Nuaimi: UAE will continue to provide aid to the earthquake victims in Syria

Damascus, SANA- Chargé d’affaires of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Damascus, Abdul Hakim al-Nuaimi, affirmed that the UAE will continue to provide assistance to the earthquake- affected people in Syria to address its impacts.

During his visit to the headquarters of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside on Monday, Al-Nuaimi said that this support provided by his country is a moral commitment towards the brotherly and friendly peoples and continues to face the after math of the earthquake, upon the directives of the UAE leadership as part of Operation “Gentle Knight 2”.

In turn, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Industry in Syria and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Muhammad Ghazwan al-Masry, praised the great efforts and the volume of aid provided by the UAE, stressing that the UAE has been among the first countries to face the earthquake repercussions in Syria.

Al-Masry pointed out to the steps taken by the Chamber and the Federation to contribute in providing aid to the affected people, by collecting donations during the last period, and forming a joint working committee that includes all industrial chambers to implement projects over the coming period.

Both sides exchanged prospects for future cooperation in the industrial fields.
