Thousands of hectares of Lugansk and Donetsk land cleared of mines, says Mizintsev

Moscow, SANA- An area of nearly 3.7 hectares in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) have been cleared of mines by the Russian engineering units, Chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, Mikhail Mizintsev said on Tuesday.

“The mine disposal units of the Russian forces and Russian Emergency Ministry are clearing the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk republics from explosive materials as about 372,593 hectares have been surveyed,” RT Website quoted Mizintsev as saying.

Mizintsev added that 35 buildings, two bridges and about 10 kilometers of roads have been surveyed, and more than 46,000 explosive items were spotted and dismantled.
