Syria, Iran to enhance tourist, social cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi discussed on Thursday with Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Javad Turk Abadi means to enhance joint cooperation, particularly in tourism, as the country will witness many activities and events, notably the Damascus International Fair on August 17th.

During the meeting, Yazigi affirmed the importance of preparing a program for marketing tourism between Syria and Iran through deepening cooperation among tourist companies in both countries.

In turn, Ambassador Turk-Abadi described as deep and historic the relations between Iran and Syria.

In a relevant context, Minister of Social Affairs Rima al-Qadiri met the Iranian Ambassador, during which she affirmed the importance of benefiting from the Iranian experience in all social fields and social protection networks.
