New WFP humanitarian assistance arrives in Hasaka

 

Hasaka, SANA-Two aircrafts loaded with humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) arrived on Monday to Qamishli International Airport through the air lift that carries aid from Damascus International Airport.

Head of the WFP bureau in Qamishli Afraa Nouh told SANA reporter that the aid includes 1570 food packages, 1570 bags of bulgur, 1570 bags of rice and 706 packages of vegetable oil, adding that additional amounts of aid are expected to arrive
in the province and will include 16,000 food packages, 20 tons of dry yeast.

The food packages which have been sent by the WFP since last July 9th are targeting displaced families.

The WFP plan aims at delivering 30000 food packages through the air lift.
