Algiers, SANA – Algerian Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel said that his latest visit to Damascus carried a number of messages the most important of which is declaring support to the Syrian people in combating terrorism, which Algeria had suffered from, stressing that his county condemns terrorism in Syria or any other place as terrorism is identical everywhere.
Algerian media outlets quoted Messahel as saying in a press conference held in the Algerian Capital that his visit to Syria coincided with the 70th anniversary of the French colonialism evacuation from Syria, which brought great support to the Algerian Liberation Revolution and embraced great numbers of Algerian people, adding that the visit also aims at delivering a message to the Syrian people that there is no other choice but the national reconciliation, political solution and unity.
He pointed out that the visit also aimed at explaining Algerian experience in the national reconciliation and counterterrorism, stressing that since the beginning of the crisis, Algeria has supported the inclusive Syrian-Syrian dialogue for solving the crisis as the solution is solely Syrian away from any foreign interference.
Minister Messahel visited the country last week and held several meetings dealt with the latest developments in the region and the circumstances of the terrorist war waged against Syria in addition to the unjust economic siege imposed on the Syrians for more than five years.
