Damascus, SANA- A number of Syrian cities witnessed heavy rains, the heaviest of which were in the cities of Hama 80mm, Tartous 52mm and Homs 60mm.
The Meteorology department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the temperatures continue to remain below average in most areas as the country is affected by low air pressure accompanied by western wet and cold air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The skis will be partly cloudy in general with a chance of rainfalls over various areas during day time .
The winds will be westerly of moderate speed with active blows accompanied by dust in the eastern and al-Badiya areas.The sea waves will be medium in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 16/06, Daraa 15/06, Homs 15/06, Hama 17/05, Hasaka 15/07, Lattakia 18/11, Aleppo 14/06 and Deir Ezzor15/10.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform rain bulletin the amounts of rainfalls were as follows: Damascus and Damascus countryside 10mm, Sweida 30.5mm, Daraa25.2mm, Quneitra 30mm, Homs 60mm, Hama 80mm, Tartous 52mm, Lattakia 27mm, Aleppo 3.5mm and in Hasaka 7mm.
