2000 health packages distributed in Yarmouk Camp

Damascus, SANA – 2000 health packages were distributed to displaced people from Yarmouk Camp who left the neighborhood to escape the crimes of terrorist organizations and are currently staying in the areas of Yelda, Bebila, and Beit Sahm in Damascus Countryside.

The aid distribution is carried out by the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) supervised by the Higher Committee for Relief and aided by the Syrian government.

GAPAR Director General Ali Mustafa affirmed in a statement to SANA that the GAPAR and UNRWA, in coordination with Damascus and Damascus Countryside governorates, distributed on Thursday 2000 health packages to the displaced residents of al-Yarmouk Camp.

Mustafa pointed out that around 35380 health packages were distributed to the displaced people of Yarmouk camp since the end of January 2014 in addition to 123782 food packages, as well as clothes, blankets, milk, canned food, vegetables, fruits and kitchen tools, adding that the mobile medical clinics will continue to treat patients.

Residents of the terrorist-besieged Yarmouk Camp in southern Damascus were forced to flee after terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) entered the area aided by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.
