Damascus, SANA- Temperatures continue to drop to become 5 to 8 degrees below the average from 3 to 5 degrees as the country is under the influence of low air pressure of polar origin in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by wet and very cold air currents.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the weather will be cold and the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy rainy at intervals over various areas across the country, snow is expected over the mountains of more than 700 meters height.
The weather will be very cold at night according to the department which warned of forming frost and ice in most areas.
The winds will be western to southwestern of moderate speed with active blows sometimes, while the sea waves will be of medium to high amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 05/01, Daraa 06/02, Homs 07/00, Hama07/0, Hasaka 06/03, Lattakia 08/06, Aleppo 03/01 and Deir Ezzor 04/02.
