Provinces, SANA – The army advanced in the southern countryside of Aleppo where its units have established control over new villages, while the military operations against terrorist organizations in other areas across the country are going on.
Aleppo
The army units and supporting forces established full control over the villages of Mreikes, Abu Roweil, Qreihiyeh, al-Sei’biyeh and Dalameh south of al-Arbaeen Hill in the southern countryside of Aleppo Province.
Special military tactics suitable for the geography of the five villages were used in the army operations, a military source said in a statement to SANA, describing these operations as “swift” and “precise”.
The army units later combed the area and dismantled the explosive devices and mines which the terrorists had planted before many of them were killed and injured and the rest fled away.
The terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a large number of their members in the course of the military operations in Aleppo.
The so-called “Al-Jabha al-Shamiyeh” in particular said the leader of its “central force” who is named Ahmad Kheirallah was killed in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
In this countryside, which is considered the terrorists’ lifeline across Turkey, the army units targeted Jabhat al-Nusra sites and supply routes, destroying a number of their vehicles and gatherings in Hreitan town and a bulldozer in the village of Tal Mseibian.
Terrorists’ hideouts were hit in army airstrikes in Daret Ezzeh in Aleppo western countryside and to the north of the Thermal Station in the eastern countryside.
In Aleppo city, the army inflected heavy losses upon terrorist organizations in the neighborhoods of Karm al-Tarab, al-Ramouseh, Suleiman al-Halabi, Aqyoul, Karm al-Maisar and al-Maasaraniyeh.
A vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun was destroyed in an army operation in Bani Zaid neighborhood in the city.
Other army units destroyed ISIS terrorists’ sites, positions and vehicles equipped with machineguns in the villages of Rasm al-Kabir , Jarrouf and Beijan in the eastern countryside of the province.
Lattakia
In the same context, an army unit and popular defense groups established control over al-Kouz Mountain in the northern countryside of Lattakia province.
The new achievement came as a result of a special operation in which the terrorists’ positions in the area were eliminated to the last one.
Army units later swept the area for explosive devices and mines, which terrorists had planted to prevent the army advance.
Hama
The Army air force carried out intensive strikes against dens and gatherings of terrorist from the so-called Jaish al-Fateh in the northern countryside of Hama.
Four terrorists including the leader of the so-called Ahrar al-Sham movement were killed in Hama countryside.
The Air strikes inflicted heavy losses in arms and ammunition upon terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra, the so-called Jund al-Aqsa and other terrorist organizations in Morek city and Atshan village and destroyed their vehicles which were equipped with machine guns.
A unit of army in cooperation with the popular defense groups destroyed a vehicle with all terrorists on board in a concentrated strike against their axes of movements in al-Lahhaiya town in the northern countryside of Hama.
Idleb
In the northern countryside of Idleb, based on accurate information, a unit of army launched intensive strikes against axes of movements of the so-called Ahrar al-Sham movement killing three terrorists and injuring five others in Khan Sheikhoun.
A leader in the movement nicknamed Husein al-Shneiwi was killed along with five other terrorists during an operation by the army in al-Tamana’a town 8 kilometers to the east of Khan Sheikhoun.
Homs
The army’s air force targeted ISIS hideouts and sites in al-Qaryatain city and the villages of Hawarin and al-Hadath and north of Mahasa area in the southeastern countryside of Homs Central Province.
Units of army clashed with terrorist groups from ISIS who infiltrated from al-Zakara valley towards al-Maqaleh and from al-Tbeij and al-Rawaq mountains to Fteir al-Qteir and al-Teefour- al-baiyarat road in Palmyra countryside.
Vehicles for terrorists and their munitions were destroyed during the clashes and there were casualties in their ranks.
Another unit of army destroyed a den with all arms and ammunition inside in al-Msheirfeh al-Shamalieyeh village in the eastern countryside of Homs.
In the northern countryside of the province, a unit of army directed strikes against gatherings and dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists near al-Ghajar gas station in the direction of Jabourin and Um Sharshouh villages inflicting heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon terrorists.
Daraa
An army unit targeted Jabhet al-Nusra hideouts and supply routes in al-Yadouda area in north-western side of Daraa city, near the borders with Jordan, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their vehicles and weaponry.
Another army unit destroyed terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in a number of areas in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
Deir Ezzor
A number of centers and fortified positions for ISIS terrorists were destroyed in army airstrikes in al-Souseh and Hjein villages to the east of Deir Ezzor city.
Vehicles equipped with machine guns were destroyed in the airstrikes as well.
The army’s air force destroyed also more sites and vehicles for ISIS in the villages of al-Tayaneh and al-Mrei’iyeh.
In central Deir Ezzor city, army units targeted ISIS sites in al-Ommal neighborhood and at Pharmex medicinal company.
