Grozny, SANA – Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov said the Chechen people support the Russian air operation against ISIS terrorist organization in Syria.
“The people of Chechnya support the measures taken by Russia to face the satanic ISIS organization,” Kadyrov said in a statement, pointing out that the Chechen authorities are confronting the attempts of recruiting youths to fight within the ranks of the terrorist organization.
Kadyrov earlier asked the Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Chechen forces to be allowed to take part in the Russian military operation against ISIS in Syria, saying that this matter is up to the commander-in-chief of the Russian armed forces, president Putin to decide.
The Russian Air Force got involved in the fight against terrorism in Syria on September 30, launching airstrikes against command centers, field camps and ammunition depots for the terrorists in various areas on the Syrian soil.
