Five civilians killed, 14 injured in terrorist rocket attacks on Daraa

Daraa/Damascus Countryside, SANA – Five civilians were killed and 14 others were injured on Friday as a result of terrorist rocket attacks on residential areas in Daraa city.

SANA’s correspondent said that terrorists fired rocket shells at the residential neighborhoods of al-Kashef, al-Sabil, and Shamal al-Khatt.

Head of the Health Directorate in Daraa Dr. Abdelwadoud al-Homsi confirmed that the attacks claimed the life of five civilians and injured 14, including two brothers and a woman.

In Damascus Countryside, one civilian was injured as a result of terrorist attacks with mortar shells on al-Wafidin Camp and Harasta suburb.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that two mortar shells fired by terrorists landed in al-Bustan area in the residential area of al-Wafidin Camp, injuring one man who was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The source said that the attack also caused material damage to the homes in the area which is located northeast of Damascus city.

The source added that a mortar shell landed in Block B4 in Harasta suburb, causing only material damage to homes, shops, and cars.
