Damascus, SANA – Upon directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, on Saturday visited a military post in the southern region to inspect the readiness of the post and convey President al-Assad’s salutation on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
He also visited an air base in the area and inspected the work in it, congratulating the soldiers and officers for their achievements and punctuality in carrying out their missions.
In turn, the soldiers stressed their loyalty to their homeland, stressing that they will spare no effort in defending the country against all challenges.
