Investment Conference, foreign figures stress support to the Syrian economy

Damascus, SANA- The First Conference of Investment Opportunities and Partnership on Wednesday continued its activities at Damascus-based al-Sham Palace.

A number of participants presented draft projects dealing with investment opportunities in the country.

Former member of the European Parliament , Belgian Frank Krilman underlined the importance of cooperating with active and resistant figures in the region and Europe to form a pressure group and a media center in Europe with the aim of delivering a true image about what is taking place in Syria and the region and refuting the media campaign launched by Arab and international media, in addition to exposing the crimes committed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS” and the European policies towards the region.

For his part, Member of the Venezuelan Parliament and Head of FIA Arab Organization Adel al-Zghir, in a speech delivered on his behalf by Matrouk al-Louse, underlined the importance of supporting the resilience of the Syrian people, army and leadership and of preserving Syria’s stability.

Al-Zghir expressed the readiness of FIA Arab Organization to provide everything that could enhance the Syrian economy and the investments in Syria.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Patriotic Party Yunus Soner stressed that his party and the Turkish people reject the economic sanctions and siege on Syria “which are considered a form of terrorism.”

Soner expressed readiness to cooperate with the Syrian people and Government to lift those sanctions and to open new prospects of cooperation in different domains, particularly in the economic sphere in a way that would serve the best interests of the Syrian and Turkish peoples.
