President Erdogan calls for removing sanctions on Syria

Ankara, SANA- Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria.

“It is very important for the European Union to suspend the sanctions imposed on Syria and lift them completely during in the new phase,” The Turkish presidency quoted President Erdogan as saying in a telephone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

The Turkish President added that his country will continue its support for Syria.
