Damascus, SANA- Federation of Syrian Agriculture Chambers started exporting eggs after achieving a surplus of production at the local markets .
”The current period witnesses a noticeable increase in egg production after a number of facilitations returned to work , the matter that has been reflected positively on the local market and resulted in a high production rate which led to the exportation of the spare amounts ”, the technical advisor at the Federation Abdul-Rahamn Qurunfula, affirmed Wednesday .
Qurunfula added in a statement to SANA that the actual export capacity wasn’t only represented by exporting large amounts of eggs, but also by exporting the biggest amounts of high quality productions.
He noted that the egg boxes allowed to be exported amounted to 32 thousand boxes monthly.
The export revenues of poultry sector in 2009 reached SYP 15 billion.
