Khaji and Pedersen stress the necessity of protecting Syria’s stability and security

Tehran, SANA-The Senior Advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji, stressed in a conversation with UN special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, the necessity for all regional and international actors to condemn and combat terrorism in Syria.

IRNA news agency reported that Khaji and Pedersen stressed in their talks held Wednesday via video conference “the need to take practical steps to protect Syria’s stability and security and confront the movements of terrorists.”

Khaji also warned of the repercussions of the expansion of terrorism on the security of the region, stressing the responsibility of all regional and international  parties to condemn and combat terrorism in Syria.

For his part, Pedersen referred to the consultations held with influential countries in the region and other countries regarding the situation in Syria.
