Damascus, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said Wednesday the Syrian political leadership is optimistic about changes in the coming period in favor of Syria’s state and people.
Speaking during a meeting with MPs at the People’s Assembly’s building, Shaaban stressed that President Bashar al-Assad is keeping a close eye on all aspects of the military and civil affairs in the country.
“The Political leadership under President al-Assad has made a big progress as far as protecting Syria and its people is concerned,” Shaaban said.
She asserted that the firmness and clear-sighted political vision of the President and the steadfastness of the Syrian people and army are contributing, to a large extent, to the shaping of the region’s future the way its people want and not that of the plotters.
