Damascus, SANA – Ministry of tourism launched a tight campaign to ensure the commitment of restaurants and other facilities to health instructions for products that are used in making the tourism product.
Besher Yaziji , Minister of Tourism asked the department of quality and tourism services and tourism departments to take whatever needed to ensure the health and safety of citizens, who attend tourism facilities, affirming the necessity of having tours in all provinces and closing the facilities which don’t commit to the required standards.
The minister also called all departments operating in provinces and the central control of the ministry to inspect the quality of the food provided in tourism facilities, the way it is kept in fridges in addition to the required cleanliness of workers in these facilities and their obtaining health cards that prove they are free from communicable and infectious diseases and following health conditions especially in kitchens
The ministry warned that it will close facilities whose kitchens don’t meet required conditions soon, noting that it is necessary that citizens report any violation of health conditions.
