Damascus, SANA-Health Minister, Dr. Hasan Ghabbash discussed Wednesday with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in Damascus, Luis Mariano Fernandez Rodriguez, means of boosting cooperation and coordination in the domain of health between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting held at the Ministry’s building, Ghabbash affirmed that the relations between both countries are deeply in all levels, noting that Cuba supported the Syrian people during the earthquake catastrophe by sending humanitarian and medical aid.
“Cuba is a very developed country in the technical aspect and pharmaceutical industries, particularly cancer and generic medicines” , the Minister added.
The Cuban Ambassador, for his part, said that Cuba is ready to continue cooperation in the field of training the human resources to exchange the experiences for raising the scientific level of health cadres, noting that Cuba possesses great experience in the field of researches related to the pharmaceutical domain and nursing subject.
