Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani, affirmed that Syria, with its pivotal strategic role, capabilities and political wisdom, is considered one of the most important Arab countries.
“During the recent years, Syria has faced many Western conspiracies and the spread of terrorist organizations, and has lost many of its sons who sacrificed their blood for the honor and dignity of their country, and to defend the independence, sovereignty and unity of their country” Kanaani said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Tehran.
He went on to say that the sacrifices made by the Syrian people in the face of international terrorism and in confronting the multilateral conspiracies against the security, stability and sovereignty of Syria are unparalleled sacrifices, and they deserve to be immortalized in history.
” We are witnessing today a national unity between the government and the people in Syria, one of the results of which was the achievement of the restoration of diplomatic relations between it and the Arab countries”, Kanaani added, expressing Iran’s optimism and confidence in Syria’s ability to rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism, and its restoration of its effective and strategic role in the entire region.
