Putin visits command post of special military operation in Rostov

Moscow, SANA- while chairing a meeting at the Special Military Operation Command post in Rostov Province, southern Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin, was briefed on the details of the military operation.

“President Putin held a meeting at the Special Military Operation Command Center in Rostov Province, and visited for the first time the new regions that joined Russia and inspected the liberated city of Mariupol in the Donbass,” Novosti news agency quoted the Kremlin press office as saying on Sunday morning.

 “The head of the state heard reports from Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and a number of military commanders,” the Kremlin said.

During his visit to the city of Mariupol in the Donbass, the Russian President also inspected a number of the city’s facilities and spoke with local residents.

In turn, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin informed President Putin in detail about the progress of construction and restoration work in Mariupol and its environs.

The Russian Armed Forces continue the military operation that was launched on February 24, 2022 to achieve its objectives of protecting the population of the Donbass region, eliminating threats to Russia’s security, forcing the Ukrainian authorities to military neutrality, eliminating Nazi tendencies and bringing war criminals to justice.
