US suspension of sanctions on Syria misleads public opinion, affirms David

Prague, SANA- The US decision to suspend part of the sanctions imposed on Syria, under the so-called “Caesar Act,” is nothing but a failed attempt to mislead world public opinion and beautify its image, Member of the European Parliament for the Czech Republic, Dr. Ivan David has affirmed.

These sanctions “continue to make the situation more difficult in Syria, as they practically ban the import of any materials to it or the sending of aid to it,” said David in a post on his Facebook account.

David stressed that “the high number of victims under the rubble will not make the West limit its policies and practices aimed at interfering in the internal affairs of states, as it does not care about humanitarian cases.”
