Arab Parties Conference: Standing by Syria protects resistance from US-Zionist plans

Beirut, SANA- Secretary of the General Conference of Arab Parties, Qassem Saleh, stressed that attacking Syria means targeting the entire axis of resistance, asserting that supporting Syria protects the resistance, Palestine and the Nation in facing the US-Zionist schemes.

This came on the occasion of the Arab and international popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria, called by Maan Bashur, director of the Arab Centre for International Communication and Solidarity.

Saleh said in his speech that the so-called ‘Caesar Act’, passed by the U.S. is based upon a series of lies and accusations fabricated by the parties hostile to the Syrian people in the framework of the declared war against Syrian people, in which the dirtiest weapons were used, including terrorism, economic blockade, political pressure and media misleading, but all failed.

He pointed out that the US administration imposed this law despite of all its negative impacts on the Syrian people, noting that it constitutes a flagrant violation of the most basic human rights and international humanitarian law.

The economic terrorism facing Syria is the other face of terrorism that shed the blood of Syrians and destroyed the achievements made by them, Saleh went on to say.

He called upon all parties, conferences and unions to show solidarity with Syria and launch a broad campaign calling for lifting of the siege on it and all other countries targeted by the US.
