Argentina supports Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

Buenos Aires, SANA-Director of Middle East and North African Department at the Argentine Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mateo Yestremi, affirmed his country’s support to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, saying that Argentina won’t recognize the unilateral sanctions system against Syria and considers it as unjust.

Yestremi, meeting Syria’s Ambassador in Buenos Aires, Sami Salameh, described Syria as a main country in the Middle East and one of the stability factors in the area.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the agreements signed between the two friendly states and reviewed the reconstruction process in Syria and the possibility of the Argentine participation in it.
