Syria calls on the UN and the Security Council to condemn the Israeli aggressions, implement the relevant resolutions to end the occupation

Damascus, SANA- Syria called on once again the UN and the Security Council to issue a clear and explicit condemnation of the repeated Israeli aggression, implement the relevant United Nations resolutions on ending the Israeli occupation of the occupied territories.

“For the second time in a week, Israeli occupation forces perpetrated a brutal missile aggression on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, as Israeli enemy carried out at nearly 11 p.m. on Friday an aggression with surface-to-surface missiles from over occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points southern Damascus as the Army air defenses intercepted the missiles and downed most of them which claimed the lives of three person and caused material losses as well.” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a letter addressed to the United Nations and the Security Council.

The Ministry added “condemning this blatant aggression, the Syrian Arab Republic stresses on reserving the right to respond by appropriate means that granted by international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and continues to look forward and expect the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Security Council to issue a clear condemnation on the repeated Israeli aggressions in accordance with the Security Council’s mandate to maintain international peace and security and to implement United Nations relevant resolutions on ending the Israeli occupation of the occupied Syrian territories, as well as to demand the Israeli entity to respect the relevant Security Council resolutions and to abide by the provisions on the Separation of Forces and Disengagement Agreement signed in Geneva on 31 .May 1974 to immediately and unconditionally cease threatening regional and international peace and security”.
