Moscow, SANA- The official spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major Gen. Igor Konashenkov, announced Wednesday that 694 militants, including 29 wounded from the Nazi Azov battalion, who were trapped in the Azovstal plant in Mariupol surrendered and laid down their weapons during the last 24 hours.
In a press briefing, Konashenkov added that since May 16th, 959 militants have surrendered, including 80 wounded, who were admitted to the hospitals of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“Using high-precision air missiles, two command headquarters were destroyed in the vicinity of the Soledar town in the Donetsk People’s Republic, in addition to destroying 31 sites for mobilizing manpower and combat equipment, including the sites of units of foreign mercenaries from European countries,” the spokesperson said.
Konashenkov added that two Su-24s at a military airport in the vicinity of Dnipropetrovsk City, a regiment of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems in the vicinity of the city of Nikolaev, 4 weapons depots and artillery rocket munitions were also destroyed and 270 Nazis were eliminated and 54 pieces of combat equipment were disabled.
